Management Team

Like the technology we develop, the power of Freeplay is in people.  Below are some words from several of Freeplay's leaders and visionaries.  Their words describe the ethos of the company as effectively as our actions.

Colin Batt, Finance Director, Freeplay Energy

Colin joins from Aircom International Ltd, a telecommunications consultancy,
where he was Interim Finance Director Europe. Prior to that he was Operations
Director, Europe, Middle East and Asia ("EMEA") at Motorola Networks. Colin hasheld a number of senior positions at Motorola where his recent experience will be important to Freeplay as it completes its restructuring and moves into the next phase of development.


 
David Floyd, Managing Director, Freeplay Energy Division
David Floyd joined Freeplay in January 2006 as Business Development Manager for North America and Europe, and was appointed Managing Director in September 2007.  Formerly a director with Motorola Inc., he has 12 years experience in the worldwide wireless telecommunications markets, from product development to sales and service.  He has extensive key account, indirect sales management and business development experience throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.  Mr. Floyd has a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Plymouth and an MBA with the Open University.
 
John Hutchinson, Technology Director, Freeplay Energy Division

Harold Reiter, Chief Executive Officer, Dixie Sales Co.
Harold Reiter is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Barrett Corporation and was appointed CEO of Dixie Sales in September 2007.  Prior to joining Barrett Corporation in 2003, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Maxxcom Inc., a company engaged in providing marketing and communications services in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.  He was Executive Vice President responsible for Canadian Operations for CIT Financial Ltd. (formerly Newcourt Credit Group Inc.), which he joined in 1998.  Prior to this he was a partner with Ernst & Young in Toronto, Canada.
 
Mike Rounsavall, President, Dixie Sales Co.
Mike Rounsavall joined Dixie Sales in February of 2005 as the General Manager, and was promoted to President in the fall of 2006.  Prior to working with the Dixie team, Mike served as the Vice President of Operations and Technology for the Stoneridge, Alphabet division, a large manufacturing company with operations in the US, Mexico and Brazil.  Mike worked with the Alphabet group for 20 years, supplying market leaders in the heavy truck and agricultural markets.  Mike’s educational background includes a double degree from the North Carolina State University in economics and business management, along with a MBA from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  He also served as a part time MBA Professor at the Youngstown State University for 5 years.
 
Rahul Sharma, Vice President, Marketing and Internet Channel, Freeplay Energy Division
Rahul joined us in May 2007 as Vice President, Marketing and Internet Channel.  In this newly created role, Rahul oversees worldwide marketing including brand development, product management, e-commerce, and the internet.  Rahul has an eclectic skill set blending marketing, technology, and operations.  He joined us from Shaw Communications, where he was the Vice President, On Demand Television Services.  Prior to that, Rahul worked at Microsoft on the Xbox launch – where he held various responsibilities in marketing, communications, and web development, including product and platform management; Webhelp, a provider of e-CRM solutions; and Procter & Gamble where he worked in Brand Management on Tide and other detergent brands.  Rahul graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing.  Rahul works from Toronto.  In his free time, Rahul enjoys cooking, travel, photography, going for long walks with his wife, and occasionally DJs house music.
