Dame Anita Roddick passed away on 10 September.  Her passion for environmental and social causes contributed to her and her husband Gordon being instrumental in the launch of the Freeplay Energy Group more than a decade ago.  No one has contributed more to the success of Freeplay Energy than the Roddicks, who have been unflinching in their overall support for the company and its ideals.  As a significant investor and backer of the company, its technology and especially its social and environmental vision, Dame Anita always held Freeplay Energy close to her heart.  She was a friend, a mentor and a supporter – she will be greatly missed.
