24/7 Power on Land, Sea & Road
FREEPLAY PRESENTS THE ULTIMATE OUTDOOR ITEMS

Freeplay Energy Group is showcasing its range of innovative, self-sufficient and durable products for the first time at the 2003 National Boat, Caravan and Outdoor Show (February 15 - 23) after reaching a distribution agreement with Grove Products Ltd, suppliers to the leisure industry for over 30 years of caravan, camping and leisure accessories.

Exhibiting at the show on Stand 4140, Grove Products Ltd will be featuring the three latest Freeplay products - Ranger am/fm radio, Summit multiband radio and the Sherpa Torch - and highlighting the sales opportunities for marine, caravan and general outdoor outlets.

'The outdoor leisure sector is a relatively new sector for us and one that presents a tremendous opportunity for retailers,' says Rory Stear, founder and CEO, Freeplay Energy Group.

'Self-sufficient radios and torches are perfect for those at sea or enjoying a touring break in their caravan without access to mains power. However, as yet these products are not widely distributed in the market and we believe that there is great potential for everyone.

'We have seen enormous developments to Freeplay products as they have moved from bulky gadgets to items that are ideal for outdoors. Our recent agreement with Grove Products Ltd has strengthened the Freeplay brand in the outdoor leisure market and we're continuing to explore new categories.'

The Ranger radio promises assured listening, anytime, anywhere and offers a choice of rechargeable, wind-up and solar power with unparalleled sound quality. By just winding the radio for 30 seconds approximately 30 minutes of play time is produced and when fully charged the Ranger gives a massive 25 hours playtime.

The Freeplay Summit is the first self sufficient multi-band radio with clock and alarm settings, which comes with a world travel adaptor and protective travel pouch making it perfect for adventures on land or sea. Key features include coverage on four wave bands (FM,MW,SW,LW), digital display and 30 station presets.

Leading the way in light is the Freeplay Sherpa which incorporates a rechargeable battery with failsafe wind-up technology to ensure an ultra-bright recharge capability. Designed to be a serious tool in one compact, rugged unit the Flashlight is ideal for every day and emergency use. A quick wind (about 30 seconds) gives approximately 6-8 minutes of light on the normal beam and the recharge system gives 30 minutes on the ultra-bright beam and five hours on normal beam using a high-efficiency, xenon-filled, dual-filament bulb so there's no need to be left in the dark again!

The Freeplay Ranger Radio retails at £44.99, the Freeplay Summit £85.99 and the Freeplay Sherpa Torch £34.99. Log on to www.freeplay.net or call Grove Products on 0161 367 7070 for further details.
