Freeplay winds-up in Homebase
Freeplay's continued growth in the hardware and DIY sector has been further strengthened by Homebase listing its radios and flashlights in stores around the M25 in the run-up to Christmas. Recognising the opportunity that this brings for its products, the company has commissioned new innovative and contemporary POS to showcase the products in-store.

The eye-catching, freestanding display units (fsdu) have been designed so that product and information is at customer eye level. This combined with the use of striking colourful graphics will encourage customers to investigate the products that are stored in the unit and ultimately encourage sale.

Made from high-density quality fibreboard, the new fsdu incorporates a patented assembly and locking system, a small footprint (510mm x 350mm) for easy placement on the shop floor and a shelf that showcases the products outside the packaging for easy viewing, with a glass surround that protects the products from theft. However, Homebase's new units are already assembled and stocked when delivered for maximum convenience for the store managers.

Vivian Blick, Freeplay's business development director comments:

"We are delighted to be working so closely with one of the market leaders, Homebase, as part of our continued drive into the DIY market. On securing the listing we were keen to make the right impression in-store by creating premium POS that would not only attract customer attention but would also be user-friendly for store managers."

"Attractive quality POS is key in order to communicate and reflect what the products are about,' insists Blick. 'The bright and bold graphics used on the units, combined with the accessible style of the POS will attract customers searching for gifts as well as impulse purchases. We are confident that these units will encourage volume sales leading up to Christmas."
