2004-02-09Freeplay's flashlight gets a facelift
Freeplayís Sherpa, the worldís most reliable torch, is now available in a new contemporary translucent colour. As well as being rugged, environmentally friendly and dependable, the Sherpa Flashlight now has a cool blue casing to capture the attention of all those design-conscious and colour co-ordinated shoppers.
This striking new look follows in the footsteps of the companyís recently launched transparent blue Ranger Radio which is enjoying strong consumer demand.
Designed to provide 24/7 light at the turn of a handle or recharge via the mains, the Freeplay Sherpa is a truly bright idea. With a compact yet robust body, it is surprisingly light to carry and easily withstands the rigours of outdoor life, travel and home use.
A rechargeable battery supported by the innovative failsafe wind-up Freeplay technology, makes the Sherpa a serious piece of kit but at a reasonable price. Designed as two flashlights in one, thereís normal beam and ultra beam, using a high-efficiency, xenon-filled, dual filament bulb. A quick 30-second wind will give around 8 minutes of normal light ñ a far superior return on winding to any other product on the market.
Top-up rewinds keep the light shining for as long as you need and it retails at around £34.99.
Vivian Blick, marketing director of Freeplay comments: ìDesign and colour are driving forward categories and sales of, what until now have been considered, practical items. Freeplayís torches deliver more light and for longer, than any other self-sufficient product on the market. The addition of new contemporary colours, such as the cool blue, attracts impulse purchase and will influence the purchasing decision.
