2003-10-06New dynamic packaging for freeplay products
Freeplay has developed new eye-catching packaging that is bright, fun and display-friendly for its new transparent range of Ranger radios and Sherpa torches.
The striking bright yellow and blue graphics used on the packaging keep in line with Freeplay's corporate style and the compact and sturdy 9.5 x 7.8 inch 'gift box', complete with an accessible fold-away lid, lends itself to easy merchandising. A new look that demands customer attention to the new exciting see-thru range.
The contemporary packaging replaces the plastic 'clamshell' packs that previously housed the products. Although product was more visable in the latter style of packaging, it proved challenging to effectively stack, display and store, as Freeplay's business development director, Vivian Blick, further explains:
'We appointed branding consultancy, Corporate Edge, to research our packaging and we have listened to our customers. In turn, the packaging dimensions and makeup have been changed in order to make it easier for retailers to stack the products for effective display and safe storage.
'Attractive quality packaging is key in order to communicate and reflect what the products are about. The bright and bold graphics used on the packaging, combined with the style of the box, will attract customers searching for gifts as well as impulse purchases,' Blick concludes.
In line with Freeplay's environmentally friendly policy the new packaging is made out of 100% recyclable material.
